New Additions to Ramblers Underage Sides

Cobh Ramblers FC are pleased to announce a number of new signings at the club’s underage sides during the current summer transfer window.

U19 Head Coach Dec Coleman has added defenders Stephen O’Connor and Jack Allen from Lakewood while midfielder Evan Murphy arrives from Wilton United. Additionally striker Cian Leonard has joined from neighbours Cork City and will also be eligible for the senior side. Cian played for both their u17 and u19 sides and comes to Cobh with an impressive scoring record at underage level.

The new signings will be a boost to the squad as they look to consolidate their position at the top end of the Elite Southern Division.

Damien Rowe and his U17 backroom staff have also been active in the transfer window, signing striker Beineon O’Brien from Cork City as well as Adam Crowley, previously of Ringmahon Rangers. O’Brien made an instant impact for Cobh, scoring on his debut against Limerick, putting the Rams right in the hunt for a play-off spot. He followed this up with two goals against Wexford and a hatrick at home to Shamrock Rovers. The young attacker also made his senior debut in the Munster Derby with Waterford FC.

Cobh Ramblers FC are delighted to have these new arrivals on board and look forward to seeing them in the Ramblers colours over the rest of the 2017 season. We have also seen some players depart the club’s underage sides of late. Patrick Crowley, Troy O’Sullivan, Ciaran Kearney and Andrew Kingston have left our u19 side while Jamie Gilmartin and Sean Hayes have left our u17’s. We would very much like to thank all of them for their time here and wish them the best of luck going forward in the game.
