Ramblers complete Taylor signing

Cobh Ramblers FC are pleased to confirm the signing of full back Kevin Taylor from Cork City FC. Kevin has spent four seasons with Cork’s u19 side and was a key member of their 2016 UEFA Youth League Squad under manager Steven Bermingham. The 19 year old picked up a league title with the Leesiders in 2015 as well as the Enda McGuill Cup in 2016 and has worked under Ramblers assistant coach Stuart Ashton in the past. He has also played with current Rams Craig Donnelan and Cian Coleman while with City. He made his debut for their senior side in 2015, coming on as a substitute in a friendly with English side Liverpool.

Speaking about the move, manager Stephen Henderson had this to say,

“Kevin is another talented young player and we are very happy that he has joined our senior squad. He is a versatile player and comfortable in both full back/ wing back positions. We are going through a tough spell with injuries and players leaving to further their education so he is coming in at a good time. Kevin will look to push into the starting eleven straight away and we are looking forward to seeing how he progresses.”

Kevin is expected to go straight into the squad for Friday’s visit to bottom side Wexford FC.
