“We’ve had a great start, we’re unbeaten, and we’ve played two of the favourites for the title. Players are getting fitter. We’ve been really unfortunate with the last minute goals we’ve conceded against Shelbourne and against Wexford in the opening game. We’re getting better. We see it ourselves, and we see it in our training sessions. We’re thrilled with the start that we’ve had, we’re disappointed we’re not top of the league but we’ll take it.

“People thought we’d be near the bottom of the table at this stage. But we’re reminding people that we’re still there. Is there another story to be told this year? I think so.”

“They’ll come down with a good side, they’ll try to play football. But we’ll be ready for them.”

Former Cork City player Cian Coleman signed for the club this week and is set to go straight into the squad for Saturday’s game, and Henderson is delighted to have the talented midfielder at his disposal this season.

He will bring quality and determination to the team on the pitch and in training sessions.”His versatility is a bonus but also very important for our small squad.
