O’Reilly signs for Ramblers U17s

Following a superb first half of the season, Cobh Ramblers’ U17 side have made their first mid-season addition to the squad in midfielder Timmy O’Reilly. The former Ringmahon Rangers and Douglas Hall man is a brother of U19 player Chris and joins the squad ahead of their game against Kerry this weekend.

Timmy had this to say on signing,

“I’m absolutely delighted to join this team and work with Marc and his coaching staff. Hopefully I can add value and help build on a strong first half of the season put in by the lads. I would like to thank my previous coaches from Ringmahon, Douglas Hall and Douglas Comm. Without their time and effort I would not have this opportunity. I’m fully focused now on continuing to work hard and a strong team performance against Kerry on Saturday.”

Manager Marc O’Donovan Wyatt also gave his views,
“We are delighted to have Timmy with us. He is our first development squad graduate. He is a talented footballer and a genuine young man. He has been training with us for the past 6 weeks or so and showed us that he is coachable, competitive and an overall excellent fit for the group. He is a credit to his family and his previous clubs, now we’ll help manage his integration over the coming weeks and I am confident he will be an important player for us in the second half of the season.”
