Role: Senior Team Manager (Part-Time)
Reports To: Cobh Ramblers Committee
Job purpose
The position of Senior Team Manager will be responsible in the first instance for all matters related to the management of our LOI Senior team, whilst also helping to develop and action our strategy for the development of the club at all playing levels.
The manager will manage the recruitment and retention of key players in line with the agreed playing budget and create positive working relationships with all managers within the Academy, with particular focus on the development of young, emerging and where possible, local talent.
The manager will help create a positive working relationship with all of our key internal and external stakeholders and help optimise attendances, positive marketing, a strong sponsor portfolio, a strong & beneficial FAI relationship, and a positive local engagement with the community.
Duties and responsibilities
● Manage the recruitment and development of all senior level players in line with agreed budgets
● Manage the senior team supported by assistant manager and coaching team.
● Aim to achieve highest possible position in LOI First Division with a target of achieving promotion within an agreed timescale
● Plan and deliver regular first team coaching in line with club philosophy
● Create a pipeline for youth development (particularly local) in conjunction with Academy Manager so that local representation is strong as possible on the Senior Team
● Develop playing structures in line with agreed 5 year strategy
● Supported by appropriate medical staff ensure that the health, safety & wellbeing of players is maintained.
● Ensure that all administrative tasks associated with player management are completed
● Assist in regular club promotional activities
● Maintain level of honesty and integrity in line with the club’s ethos at all times
● Complete and report on the formal monitoring and evaluation of players
Experience/Qualifications/Skills
● UEFA A Licence
● Experience of First Team coaching in an elite environment
● Experience of designing and implementing player development programmes
● Knowledge of the Cork and Munster Football landscape
● Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management skills
● Availability to work flexible hours

Reporting
● Reporting requirement weekly to Committee – format and content to be agreed
