New Rams deal for Walsh

Cobh Ramblers FC are pleased to confirm that 21 year old defender Darryl Walsh has signed a new deal at the club for the 2022 season. Darryl joined the Rams from Waterford FC in 2020. He has made 30 club appearances, featuring at both left back and centre back.

Walsh began his football career at his schoolboy club Portlaw United before moving to Tramore AFC. He then progressed to Waterford’s U17 side. He was a member of the Republic of Ireland U17 squad at the 2017 European Championships in Croatia and he also made his Waterford senior debut that season.

In 2019 he captained the Waterford U19 side that would go on to claim the national league title, before moving on loan to Wexford FC. The WIT student has also represented the Irish Colleges and Universities squad.

Cobh Ramblers Football Club is an Irish football club. The club, founded in 1922 and elected to the League of Ireland in 1985, hails from Cobh, County Cork and play their home matches at St. Colman's Park. The club's colours are claret and blue.
