Kick-off: 7.15 pm, Saturday 23rd July, St. Colman’s Park
This week sees the Rams host UCD in the SSE Airtricity League First Division. UCD are second in the league table and The Students have won four of their last five games so it won’t be an easy tie for Cobh.
were very happy with our overall performance against Limerick. We created a lot of chances in thes econd half and felt we deserved at least a draw. However, the reason Limerick are run away leaders is because they are clinical in front of goal. We are not at that stage yet but we hope to rectify that over the coming weeks.”
Ramblers have lost twice this season to UCD and Collie O’Neill’s men have been a bogey side of ours since their relegation to the second tier. They have a four point advantage over Cobh ahead of Saturday’s clash and a win for Henderson’s men would no doubt be a massive boost for the Rams. Henderson feels a win is possible, “Saturday’s match is a huge game for both clubs. Although there are plenty of games left it is important we keep on both UCD and Drogheda’s tails as we approach the business end of the season. I do believe we are capable of beating anybody in this league on our day, but we have to be on our day for every game we play between now and the end of the season.”
We urge all Ramblers fans to come out and support the team tomorrow – “Let’s make more memories together!”
Injured: Jason Abbott.
