2023 Waterford Academy player of the year Alessandro De Sanctis has signed on for the 2024 Season at St. Colmans Park.
Alesandro was a member of the Waterford U19 squad for 2021 and 2022 and in 2023 he was included in the Blues’ senior squad and captained the U19’s to a shield victory. He has previously played with Dean Larkin and Liam Kervick who have also signed up for the season ahead.
GARY HUNT: I have known Alessandro a long time and having come through the Waterford Academy he is keen to continue his journey within the League and over the course of pre season he has shown he will give us good options and versatility within a competitive squad. It is up to him now to make the most of the opportunity and given his qualities as a person and player and I am sure he will give it his all.
Alessandro: “I’m delighted to join Cobh and can’t wait to get started .The lads had a great season and I’ve really enjoyed pre season so far , I can’t wait to gain more experience and hopefully we can kick on even more now from last season “.
