O’Riordan & Drinan re-sign for 2022 season

Ramblers defender Ben O’Riordan and attacker Conor Drinan have today become the latest players to re-sign for the club ahead of the 2022 League of Ireland campaign.

24 year old O’Riordan is the club’s longest serving player, having joined our U19 set-up in 2015 and making his senior debut in 2016. Since then the centre back has made a remarkable 132 club appearances, 21 of which came last season. Entering his seventh season of League of Ireland football, Ben has a 2016 Munster Cup medal to his name as well as runners-up medals in both the First Division (2017) and the EA Sports Cup (2018).

Conor Drinan joined the club in 2020 from Carrigaline United and the 21 year old has gone on to make 32 appearances over two seasons. Conor also featured for our Academy side at U17 level, and the MTU student was a recent member of the Irish Colleges & Universities international side.

Ben and Conor become the latest confirmed members of manager Darren Murphy’s playing squad for the 2022 League of Ireland campaign.
