Halloween night was a memorable one at St Colman’s Park as we had the honour of hosting the international women’s match between the u17 sides of Belarus and Faroe Islands. In an entertaining game, the Faroes won on a scoreline of 2-1, much to delight of their travelling support.

The game was a part of the European mini-qualifying group which also included Ireland and Iceland. Games also took place in UCC’s Mardyke and Turners Cross as part of Cork’s hosting of the tournament.

We would like to thank everyone who made the game a success on the night, especially our PA Marc O’Driscoll, the ballgirls from Springfield Ramblers, Josh Kelly who helped to get the ground looking its best on the night, and kit manager Chris Keogh. Pictured are club secretary Ian Ryan and senior manager Stephen Henderson receiving a presentation from the FAI.
