Ramblers v Shelbourne | Preview

MATCH PREVIEW |

Cobh Ramblers are back in home action tomorrow as league leaders Shelbourne travel to St Colman’s Park. With a 4-3 win in Limerick behind them, Ramblers are in fine form but face a tough test in a Shelbourne side with eyes set on the title.

Stuart Ashton will be without Greg Henry who is unavailable while there are doubts over the fitness of Cian Leonard and James McSweeney.
U19 players Mikey Foley, Andrew Cronin, Ben Healy and Conor Walsh are likely to be involved in the squad once more.
Ahead of the game, manager Ashton had this to say, “We’re coming into this on the back of a good performance in Limerick and the lads are well up for it. Shelbourne are a top side, they’re ahead in the league for a reason. But we’ve beaten them at home already this season and St Colman’s is always a tough place for away sides.”
Regarding the former Rams facing their past club for the first time, “Jaze and Denzil are good players, but it doesn’t change anything for us. We’re out there to win regardless of who we’re against and that’s the main thing.”
Kick-off is 7pm on Saturday night.
