Cobh Ramblers FC are pleased to announce the signing of defender Ryan Hogan for the 2017 season. Ryan has spent the past four years on a soccer scholarship to Trevecca University in the United States and has signed for Cobh following his return to Ireland.
The 23 year old played with Ballincollig prior to moving across the Atlantic and enjoyed four impressive seasons in the US. He captained the university side in his final year. Ryan is expected to make his debut against Cobh Wanderers in Tuesday night’s friendly.
Speaking about the move, Ryan had this to say, “I have always wanted to come home and play football here in Ireland so to get the opportunity to sign for Cobh Ramblers is a huge honour. Being able to play under someone like Stephen Henderson is another huge bonus. It’s been great so far and I can’t wait for the season to start.”
