McSweeney Re-Signs

Defender James McSweeney has today become the latest player to re-sign for the club ahead of the 2020 League of Ireland season.

This will be James’ fifth season at the club, having originally signed for our U17 side from Cork City in 2016. He made his senior debut in a Munster Cup tie with Limerick in 2017 and has since gone on to make a remarkable 75 senior appearances. The 20 year old has been capped at Republic of Ireland U18 level and was named the club’s Young Player of the Year in 2017. Having come through Carrigaline United at schoolboy level, James was a key part of our EA Sports Cup run in 2018 and our league runner-up season of 2017.

Further squad announcements will continue in the coming weeks.
