Foley signs first senior contract

Cobh Ramblers midfielder Mikey Foley has signed his first senior contract with the club and will be a part of Stuart Ashton’s first team squad for the 2020 League of Ireland campaign.

The Cobh native first joined the club’s U17 side in 2018 and quickly progressed to U19 level. He made his senior debut at home to Cabinteely towards the end of the 2019 season and made three first team appearances in total.

A product of the Springfield Ramblers academy, Mikey has also spent time with Cobh Wanderers. The Coláiste Muire Cobh student was a member of the FAI Munster Schools Squad in 2018 and picked up the club’s Academy Player of the Year Award in 2019.

Further squad announcements will be released in the coming weeks.
