McKevitt joins Ramblers

Cobh Ramblers FC are pleased to announce the signing of Matt McKevitt for the remainder of the 2023 League of Ireland season.

The 24 year old joins from Avondale United, where he was the MSL side’s Player of the Year for the 2022/23 campaign.

The Thurles native first came through Waterford’s academy before joining UCC where he helped the College to the 2019 Collingwood Cup among many honours. He then joined Treaty United for their inaugural League of Ireland season in 2021.

Manager Shane Keegan had this to say about his first new arrival of the transfer window,

“I’m delighted to have Matt on board. His goal scoring record with Avondale this season was quite tremendous and we think he’s more than capable of delivering at this level. Since he’s come in training with us he’s fitted in seamlessly with the group, in terms of both attitude and ability. His physical profile as well is something we were after, he’s a big lad and he’s well able to put himself about. I think he can be a real addition to the squad.”
