We are delighted to confirm that centre back Ben O’Riordan has today signed a new deal at the club for the 2018 season. Ben becomes the third member of last year’s squad to re-sign after we confirmed Paul Hunt and Ian Mylod yesterday.

Ben joined the club’s u19 side from Leeside’s underage setup in January 2015 under Stephen Bermingham and has gone from strength to strength since then. He captained the u19 side in 2016, his third season at that level. Ben made his senior debut midway through the 2016 campaign in the FAI Cup win over Cherry Orchard and has amassed a total of 40 senior appearances in the claret and blue. O’Riordan was a pivotal member of our 2017 side and scored his first senior goal in April’s 1-0 win at home to UCD.
