Corey Chambers completes Cobh switch

Cobh Ramblers can today announce the signing of goalkeeper Corey Chambers for the 2021 season. The 23 year old was most recently at First Division rivals Cabinteely, where he made 17 appearances in the 2020 League of Ireland season.

Capped for both Ireland and Canada at underage level, Corey began his League of Ireland career at Bray’s U19 set-up, before moving to Waterford United in 2016. He then signed for the then Premier Division side Wexford midway through that campaign, and went on to enjoy four seasons at Ferrycarrig Park.

Corey represented Ireland at various youth levels from U15 to U18, with 5 being International caps. Having dual nationality, Corey also earned International caps for Canada at U17 level.

Corey brings a wealth of League of Ireland experience to the club, and will battle it out with Sean Barron and academy graduate Gavin Ryan for the number one spot this year. He had this to say about the move

“I’m delighted to be on-board with Ramblers this season. It’s a great club with a fantastic squad coming together. I’m really looking forward to the start of the season and helping the club hopefully gain promotion to the Premier Division.”
