Cobh Ramblers accepted into U17 EA Sports Women’s National League 2022

Cobh Ramblers are pleased to confirm that our application to take part in the 2022 Under 17 EA Sports Women’s National League has been accepted by the Football Association of Ireland.

This will be our first ever team in the Women’s National League system and it will be made all the more special as it comes in our club’s Centenary Year. By entering at Under 17 level, we believe that it will now forge the correct pathway over the coming years to one day see Senior Women’s football
at a National Level in Cobh.

Club Secretary Shane Kavanagh:
“All of us in the club are delighted to have been accepted into the Women’s National League system. This is a huge step forward for us as a club and another challenge we intend to embrace. We would like to thank the FAI and the Women’s National League Committee for their help throughout the entire application process. A special word of thanks too must go to Steve Mulcahy for his invaluable help. Women’s football is on the up and we are proud to be playing our part.”

The 2022 season is scheduled to start in March and an announcement on fixtures and the make up of the Management Team will be made in the coming weeks.
