Shane O’Connor departs the club

Cobh Ramblers FC can confirm that Shane O’Connor has left the club as he is relocating to Dublin in the near future.

Arriving in 2015 from neighbours Limerick, Shane quickly made a name for himself at the club and won our Player of the Year and Supporters’ Player of the Year awards that season. Shane was our top scorer this season with 12 goals and played a key part in our run to the First Division play-offs.

He was a true professional both on and off the pitch and constantly represented the club in an exemplary manner. Captaining the side when club captain Kevin Mulcahy was unavailabile, Shane’s experience was pivotal in helping our young side over the past two seasons.

We would like to very much thank Shane for his time here and we wish him the best of luck in the future #OnceARam
