Seventh Season for O’Riordan

Cobh Ramblers centre back, and the club’s longest serving player, Ben O’Riordan has signed a new deal at the club for the 2021 League of Ireland season.

The 23 year old first joined Ramblers’ U19 set-up in 2015 from Leeside and made his senior debut in a 2016 FAI Cup win over Cherry Orchard. He has made a remarkable 111 first team appearance in a Ramblers shirt, and has picked up both First Division and EA Sports Cup runner-up medals, as well as a Munster Cup medal in 2016.

The defender featured 13 times in the disrupted 2020 season, with injury impacting his involvement towards the end of the year.

Ben joins Charlie Lyons, Ian Turner, Pierce Phillips, Sean Barron, Lee Devitt, Naythan Coleman, Darryl Walsh, Stephen O’Leary, Conor Drinan and Martin Coughlan in re-signing for next year. We hope to make further announcements in January 2021.
