Cobh Ramblers FC are pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Ronayne as our new U15 manager for the 2018 League of Ireland season.
Kevin comes to the club with vast coaching experience at underage level, most notably with College Corinthians. Kevin has managed sides at Corinthians since 2014, winning the Cork Schoolboys League Premier Division at both U14 and U15 levels, as well as the U15 Cork Cup. Prior to this he also spent time coaching at Douglas Hall and Park United.
He is currently teaching Physical Education in Douglas Community School and has been involved in coaching the school’s football teams since 2006. The school won Munster titles at Youth and U17 levels under his tutelage and were also crowned Cork champions at the Senior and u15 grades in this time.
Kevin has been involved with the development of countless young footballers over the past decade, including Adam Idah, Eoghan O’Connell and Adam O’Reilly who have all represented Ireland at underage level in recent years.
The incoming manager had this to say about his new appointment,
“I’m delighted to have been given this opportunity. It’s an honour for me and I’m really looking forward to working with the undoubted football talent that exists at underage level in Cork.”
We are delighted to have Kevin on board at Cobh Ramblers and look forward with anticipation to the 2018 season. This year will mark the first full season for the club’s U15 League of Ireland side after the league’s inaugural short-campaign in 2017.
