Cobh Ramblers FC are delighted to announce that defender Charlie Lyons has returned to the club from Galway United for the 2023 season.

Having his begun his career at Innishvilla, Charlie spent time at Preston North End’s Academy set-up before joining Ramblers in 2019. He spent three seasons at the club, featuring 66 times and scoring nine goals from defence. He then moved to Galway where he helped the Connacht outfit reach the First Division play-offs in 2022.

The 22 year old centre back was a popular figure at St Colman’s Park and we look forward to seeing him back in the claret and blue for 2023.

Further members of Shane Keegan’s squad will be announced in due course.
