Henry returns to football with Ramblers signing

Cobh Ramblers are pleased to confirm that midfielder Greg Henry has re-joined the club for the remainder of the 2020 League of Ireland campaign.

The Tipperary native played 19 times for the club in 2019 and is now back at St Colman’s Park after a spell with his county’s Gaelic Football side.

Greg came through Clonmel Town’s underage set-up before joining Cork City’s U19 side. He switched to UCC in 2013, where he impressed in their Collingwood and MSL sides. He then moved to Philadelphia in the US on a soccer scholarship, before returning home in 2018. He linked up with Ramblers prior to the 2019 season and made his debut in the Munster Senior Cup against Cork City.

A talented Gaelic footballer, Greg won an All-Ireland minor title with Tipperary in 2011 and made their senior panel earlier this year. He featured for Ramblers in Friday’s 1-1 draw against Cork City and is available for this week’s First Division tie in Bray Wanderers.
