Cobh Ramblers are pleased to announce the return of defender Breandán Frahill to the club for the 2022 season. The centre back re-joins the club from Cobh Wanderers, having left Ramblers in 2015.

Breandán came through the schoolboy ranks at Springfield Ramblers, winning the U16 National Cup in 2011. He then progressed to the Cobh Ramblers U19 side who won the U19 Southern Division in 2012. The Cobh native made his League of Ireland debut in 2013 and would make 79 first team appearances, including spending the 2015 campaign as club captain. Breandán departed the club prior to the 2016 season due to work commitments and enjoyed several years at Cobh Wanderers in the Munster Senior League.

He had this to say following the announcement

“I’m delighted to be back, it’s an exciting time for the club and it’s made great progress in recent years. The staff and team environment is really professional and I’m really looking forward to being back at St Colman’s park with a large support for the club’s 100th year”
