Cobh Ramblers -v- College Corinthians Saturday January 13th

Saturday 13th January 2024 Cobh Ramblers will kickstart their three-in-a-row campaign at home to Munster Senior League leaders College Corinthians on the Stephen Ireland Astro Turf at Old Church Park. In 2023 The Rams’ won their seventh title, the first time in their history to defend the trophy and made it successive final victories over their near neighbours Cork City at Turner’s Cross.

The game will be the first Competitive game under new Manager Gary Hunt who is looking forward to getting his young squad out onto the pitch.

Gary Hunt:

“We are looking forward to getting back onto the pitch for 2024. Obviously with the game being Munster Senior Cup we can only field those signed for the coming season, but it is a great opportunity for them to show me what they are capable of, especially those young lads who will make up the squad on Saturday.

Having been successful in this competition over the last two seasons, we will want to do well but every game you play you want to win so we will look to get minutes in the legs but also be competitive with the opposition who are currently mid-season and doing well and we will hope that this can bring us a good result.

Last season the club had a fantastic year, obviously going all the way to the playoff final only to lose out in extra time. We want to work towards giving our fans lots more enjoyable days out cheering on the Rams and hopefully they get behind us from day 1 and this helps us to achieve the result on the field of play.”

With works ongoing on the new surface at St. Colmans Park, the game will take place on the Stephen Ireland Astro at Old church park. With a large crowd expected please allow plenty of time when arriving. Please Note that there is no Parking on-site for the game. Patrons are requested to park in public car parks in the town and/or walk to the grounds.
