The Rams are back on the road this week as we make the short trip to Limerick to face Treaty United at the Market’s Field in our final game before the mid-season break.

This will be the fourth Munster Derby of the season between these two sides, with Ramblers winning the first two, including a 3-2 Munster Cup semi-final victory, at the Limerick venue before a 1-1 home draw in April.

The Rams are coming off the back of a steady 1-0 win over Longford Town in the sun at St Colman’s Park this past Monday, with Wilson Waweru’s 4th league goal of the season being enough to see off ‘De Town’. It was a strong defensive display by Cobh, as Rams stopper Lee Steacy was named in the LOI First Division Team of the Week for his clean sheet. Cobh now sit fourth, in the play-off positions coming up to the midway point of the season.

Wexford last time out on Monday. The Shannonsiders could feel as though they deserved more from the game but the point keeps them within touching distance of the play-offs following three straight defeats
prior to Monday’s draw.

Tommy Barrett’s Treaty side has plenty of familiar faces, with ex-Rams Shane Hallahan, Ben O’Riordan, Stephen Christopher and Anthony O’Donnell all in their ranks. Cobh will be without the suspended Cian Browne and Jack Doherty for the tie, while Michael McCarthy and Issa Kargbo remain absentees.

Both sides will be aiming to sign off before the mid-season break with a win, in what is sure to be
another entertaining derby between the two sides.

Kick off will be at the usual time of 7:45pm, with the match being broadcast live from Market’s Field
on LOI TV.
