Ramblers Return for Darren Murphy

Midfielder Darren Murphy has today re-joined the club for the 2021 League of Ireland season. Darren previously spent four seasons at the club between 2015 and 2018, making 61 first team appearances.

Darren initially came through Cork City’s underage set-up, making his senior debut in 2014. He joined Cobh prior to the 2015 campaign and remained at St Colman’s Park until 2018, with the exception of a short spell at Waterford United.

He departed for Limerick FC midway through the 2018 campaign before returning to Cork and joining Ringmahon Rangers in the Munster Senior League. Most recently he helped the Mahon club reach the semi-finals of the 2020 FAI Intermediate Cup.

Darren had this to say about his return to the club

“I’m delighted to be back. I’ve been out of the League of Ireland a year now and it’s great to be back and to get going again. I’m really happy that things are sorted now and we can look forward to the first game of the season in a few weeks. There’s a really good squad and we’ll be aiming to be right up there, in what’s going to be a very competitive league this year.”

With our first team squad coming together, keep an eye on all things Ramblers for further news in the near future!
