Four more sign for Ramblers

rams615x400Cobh Ramblers have today announced the signing of four more players as they prepare for the 2015 season.

Promising young striker Kynan Rocks has committed to another season at the Cork club. Rocks played at u19 level for the club before signing for the senior side in the 2013 season as Cobh returned to the League of Ireland. He drew plenty of plaudits that year and a move to Waterford United followed in December of that year. His time at the RSC was not as prolific as had been hoped and combined with the Blues’ off-field problems, he returned to Cobh in July 2014. He is a very talented striker and this could be a huge season for the former Rockmount man.

Stephen Kenny has also re-signed for the club. Formerly of Cork City and Waterford United, Kenny signed for the Rams in July 2014 and impressed in his time at the club. A brother of u19 striker Brendan, Stephen is an exciting winger and a valuable addition to the squad.

Graham McCarthy has joined Ramblers from very successful non-league side Avondale United. Graham had a brief spell at the club in the second half of the 2013 campaign before re-joining Avondale and he is a talented midfielder who will bring plenty of knowledge and experience to the Cobh midfield.

Finally, young attacker Dave Walsh has re-joined the club. Dave played for the Rams at u19 level and was a member of the 2014 Enda McGuill Cup squad. He also featured for the senior side that year before joining Leeds AFC in July. He is now back at the club and is a player with a lot of potential.

This brings the number of players in Martin Cambridge’s squad to 19 as preparation continues for the 2015 season. The remainder of the squad is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
