U17s to host Wexford in First Round of Shield

The First Round Draw of the U17 Shield was made this week and current holders Cobh Ramblers have been drawn at home to Wexford FC. Cobh were unlucky to miss out on a play-off spot, finishing 6th in the Southern Divison. The tie is to be played before October 1st.

The other fixtures see Derry host Monaghan-Cavan, Kerry entertain Limerick, Athlone meet Longford, UCD visit Shelbourne and Drogheda travel to Bray. Cabinteely and Sligo Rovers received byes into Round 2.
