Rams to visit Drogheda on Opening Day

The opening day of the 2019 League of Ireland season will see Ramblers travel to Drogheda United on February 22nd, in a repeat of the 2016 Play-Offs. Our first home game will take place on Marchh 2nd against Athlone Town at 19:00 in St Colman’s Park.

That is followed by Wexford (H), Limerick (A), Shelbourne (H) and Bray (A). We host Longford Town on September 21st to conclude the regular season.

Last season’s opening day saw us draw 2-2 at Longford Town while in 2017 we drew 1-1 at home to Wexford. 2016 saw our last win on opening day, a 1-0 victory at Shelbourne. 2015 was our last defeat on opening day as UCD left St Colman’s with a 3-0 victory. In 2014 Cobh drew 1-1 Shamrock Rovers B in the season opener while in 2013 Wexford Youths were defeated 5-0 on a memorable start to that season.
