Cobh Ramblers are pleased to announce the signing of left-sided defender Charlie Lyons, formerly of Preston North End.

The 18 year old joined Preston from his schoolboy club Innishvilla in 2017 but has recently returned to Cork after two years at the Championship club.

Charlie predominantly played for Preston’s U18 side whilst there and appeared for Cork City in friendlies earlier this off-season.

Lyons will go straight into our senior side for the remainder of pre-season as preparation heats up ahead of the league opener in Drogheda.
