1.Lee Steacy

Lee joined us this year and was most recently at Premier Division side Drogheda United. The 30-year-old previously spent three and a half seasons with Longford Town where he was named in the PFAI First Division Team of the Year in 2019, before being part of the Longford side that gained promotion through the play-offs in 2020. Lee made over 75 appearances at Longford, having joined from Shelbourne in 2019. He has also played for Bray Wanderers, Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers.

2. Michael McCarthy

The 18 year old Youghal native first joined Cobh Ramblers at U15 level from Midleton and has since progressed through our academy set-up. Michael made his first team debut in 2022 and went on to make 8 First Division appearances. Capable at both full back and centre back, the impressive young talent remains eligible for our U19 side in 2023. He was recently called up to Tom Mohan’s U19 home based Ireland squad.

3. Cian Browne

Cian joined us in 2023 from Waterford junior side Villa FC. The 20 year old first came through Wexford’s academy before joining Waterford at U19 level. He made his first team debut for the Blues in 2021 before and remained with their senior squad in 2022 before joining prominent junior side Villa.

4. Justin Eguaibor

Centre back Justin enjoyed an impressive debut season at LOI level in 2022, while also starring for our U19s. The Ballincollig man came through the ranks at Lakewood and Douglas Hall before joining our academy in 2021. His brother David is a member of our U19 side who has been training with the first team.

5. Brendeán Frahill

Brendeán re-joined the Rams in 2022 after six years away from St Colman’s Park. He came through the Springfield academy before joining our U19s in 2011. He made his first team debut in 2013 and has amassed over 100 first team appearances having re-joined the Rams in 2022.

6. Charlie Lyons

Having his begun his career at Innishvilla, Charlie spent time at Preston North End’s Academy set-up before joining Ramblers in 2019. He spent three seasons at the club, featuring 66 times and scoring nine goals from defence. He then moved to Galway where he helped the Connacht outfit reach the First Division play-offs in 2022. The 22 year old centre back was a popular figure at St Colman’s Park and we look forward to seeing him back in the claret and blue for 2023.

7. Wilson Waweru

The 22 year old has joined us for 2023 on loan from Galway United. Wilson made his Galway debut in 2018 and since amassed 91 first team appearances, scoring 18 goals. Capable as a winger and an attacker, Wilson came through the underage setup at Mervue United before joining the Tribesmen academy.

8. Pierce Phillips

The 24 year old joined the club in 2020 from Cork City. He also spent part of the 2018 campaign on loan at St Colman’s Park, which will make the upcoming season his fifth at the club.Phillips has made over 60 first team appearances in claret and blue, 19 of which came last season. He came through the Rockmount schoolboy set-up, before joining Cork City’s Academy in 2015. He would remain at the club until 2020 when he joined the Rams on a permanent deal. He is the current vice captain.

9. Jake Hegarty

Jake joined us in 2021 from Midleton and has since made over 50 club appearances. Goals such as his winner at home to Cork City quickly made the East Cork man a fans’ favourite and we look forward to his third season at St Colman’s Park.

10. Jack Doherty

Jack arrived at the club from Wexford this season, with whom he scored six goals last season in an impressive campaign. Capped for Ireland at underage level, Jack’s creativity in the middle of the park has won many admirers over the years the 28-year-old Tipperary man also has league experience with Waterford and Longford.

11. Conor Drinan

Conor joined the club in 2020 from Carrigaline United and the 22 year old enters his fifth season at the club having also featured for our Academy side at U17 level. He made 24 appearances in 2022, scoring five goals during the year.

12. Darragh O'Sullivan Connell

Darragh joined the Rams last year from College Corinthians and impressed in his debut League of Ireland campaign with 20 appearances and two goals, both coming from long-range free kicks.

14. David Bosnjak

David first joined our Academy in 2016 from Douglas Hall before moving to Cork City in 2021. The Croatian born forward then spent time at College Corinthian’s senior side before re-joining the Rams in 2023.

16. Luke Desmond

20 year old Luke joined the Rams from Cork City last season and the Kinsale native featured 29 times during the year, scoring four goals from midfield.

18. Callum Stringer

The 20 year old joined us this January from Waterford. Callum came through Waterford’s underage academy and made his first team debut in 2021 in the Premier Division. He remained with their senior squad in 2022, making nine appearances and scoring twice, both against Cobh.

20. Charlie O'Brien

The youngest member of our first team squad, 17 year old Charlie joined us this year from Cork City where he featured at U15 and U17 level. The Youghal native previously played schoolboy football with Youghal United and Midleton. He remains eligible for U19 football in 2023. His brother Jake is currently on the books of English side Crystal Palace, having also played for Cork City.

21. Liam Kervick

Liam joined us on loan from Waterford in 2022 and returned on loan to the club for the 2023 campaign. He scored once in his six appearances towards the end of the campaign.

22. Ryan Delaney

Despite being just 18 years old, Ryan stands at 6ft 7 in the Ramblers goal. The Carrigaline native joined us from Cork City this year and will be a part of Zoran Teodorovic’s U19 squad. He has been capped for Ireland at U18 and Schools level in recent years.

24. Issa Kargbo

21 year old Issa joined Ramblers in 2022 from Cork City. He played schoolboy football at Ringmahon Rangers and came up through the Cork City academy system alongside twin brother Uniss. He featured on twelve occasions during the year.

28. Dale Holland

Midleton man Dale also signed for Cobh last season from Cork City, where he had spent the previous six seasons. The 22 year old made 22 appearances last year for Ramblers.

29. Tiernan O'Brien

Tiernan made two senior appearances last year. The Fermoy man first joined our Academy at U15 level in 2018 and has progressed through the national underage leagues in that time. He was awarded our overall Academy Player of the Year title in 2022 and has had an exceptional pre-season in 2023.

30. Darragh Burke

Darragh joined the club in 2022 from Cork City’s academy. The Cobh native came through Springfield Ramblers at underage level and made six first team appearances last year. His father Darragh won the First Division with Ramblers in 2007.

Formerly of St Mary’s, James joined Cobh in 2022 from Cork City’s academy set-up where he had played at U17 and U19 level. The 20 year old made 22 appearances for the club last season.

39. Jason Abbott

28 year old Jason came through the underage set-up at Springfield Ramblers before joining Ramblers’ U19 set-up back in 2011. Across two spells at the club he has made over 90 first team appearances, picking up Munster Cup medals in 2016 and 2022. He has also spent time at UCC, Cork City and Cobh Wanderers. Our current captain.

Claudio is on loan at the club from EFL side Reading. The attacking midfielder has been capped at U15 level by England and made his Reading first team debut in 2021.
