Cobh Ramblers FC can today announce that the club’s longest serving player has re-signed for the 2019 season. Midfielder Stephen Christopher joined the club in 2014 and has been part of the senior setup since the 2015 campaign. He has amassed 87 appearances for the club in that time, 23 of which came in 2018. Stephen came through the ranks at College Corinthians before signing for Ramblers’ u19s in 2014. Manager Stephen Henderson drafted him into the senior squad midway through 2015 and he has become a mainstay in the squad ever since.

He has this to say earlier today about re-signing,

“After such a long break I’m really looking forward to getting back into it. We know that last year wasn’t good enough in the league and we want to be competing up near the top this season. That’s the aim and there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be right in the mix come the end of the year.”
