Ramblers partner with Villarreal for 2021 Summer Camps

Cobh Ramblers FC are delighted to announce that our 2021 Summer Camps will be run this year in collaboration with Europa League Champions and La Liga side Villarreal CF.

This will be very exciting for all involved in our club. With the help of the current Europa League winners we can now provide more education to our players and coaches via the collaboration, while we also hope to have our teams travel to Castellón at some point in the future. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop from the Villarreal expertise and methodologies.

The Cobh Ramblers FC Summer Camp with Villarreal CF will take place on 16th to 20th August at St Colman’s Park. Entrants to the camp will be given the option of booking a spot in a morning session or an afternoon session. Morning Sessions will be from 9.30-12.30 and Afternoon Sessions will be from 1.30-4.30.

Two of Villarreal’s UEFA A-licensed coaches will be in attendance and also accompanied by Cobh Ramblers coaches for the week where they will educate players on the Villarreal methodology and philosophy.

The camp will be open to participants between the ages of 6–16 years old, all of whom will receive a full training kit as part of their registration.

Two players from the camp will be selected by the Villarreal CF coaches to participate in the Villarreal CF Player Training Week in Spain. This is an exclusive experience which offers players the opportunity to play and train with Villarreal CF Academy teams at the club’s professional facilities. During their week in Spain, selected players will train intensively with youth teams, study their game with personalised video analysis sessions, and also go on a behind-the-scenes tour of Villarreal’s stadium, the 23,500 capacity all-seated Estadio de la Cerámica (The cost of this trip for those selected is not included in the camp price).

The selected players will also have the chance to visit both training complexes, the main Villarreal CF Training Ground, which has nine fields and covers 70,000m2, as well as the Pamesa Cerámica Training Ground, which has four fields and covers 40,000m2. The week-long experience will make them feel like they are living the life of a professional footballer.

Camp registration is €125, which includes an exclusive training kit as well as the chance of the exclusive Villarreal experience.

Registration is now open via our online club shop https://cobhramblersshop.com/collections/kids-camps
