Ramblers announce more signings

615Cobh Ramblers today announced five more signings as Dave Hill gets his side ready for the 2014 campaign.  Midfielders Andrew Bhandarkar and James Carson along with strikers Ronan Stanton, Alan O’Flynn and Jonathan Spillane have all continued their spell with the Cobh club for another year.

Andrew Bhandarkar started his career off with College Corinthians before joining Limerick FC,  where he mainly featured for the A Championship side.  He left the Blues to play locally with Casement Celtic.  He signed for the Rams at the beginning of last year and is a highly versatile player.

Ronan Stanton signed for the Rams in June last year, making his debut away to Salthill Devon. He has had spells at numerous Munster Senior League clubs including Douglas Hall and College Corinthians. He scored three goals last season and will look to add to that in the coming year.

Alan O’Flynn started his Ramblers career in 2010 with the A Championship side. He was a member of the club’s first u19 squad in 2012 when they won the Southern Division. He left for Munster Senior League side Midleton but returned in 2013 as the club re-entered the Airtricity League. He scored in Ramblers’ season opener against Wexford Youths in 2012 and will look to improve on that this season.

Young midfielder James Carson and forward Jonathan Spillane have also renewed their contracts with the club for the 2014 campaign.

The club will hope to announce some more additions in the coming days
