Monaghan United secured fifth place in the First Division with a comfortable 3-0 victory over a jaded Wexford Youths at Kingspan Century Park. United midfielder Stephen McCrossan grabbed a rare goal in the 27th minute when Wexford keeper Packie Holden fumbled his shot from the edge of the box.
Karl Bermingham slid in to convert Barry Clancy’s flick-on after 36 minutes as the Mons took control.
