Goalkeeper Eoghan Daly signs for the Rams

signing

Cobh Ramblers have signed goalkeeper Eoghan Daly for the upcoming League of Ireland u19 season. He is also eligible to play for the senior side. He is one of new manager Stephen Birmingham’s first signings ahead of the new campaign. He previously played for Cork sides Avondale and College Corinthians. He has also represented the home based Ireland team. The young goalkeeper was previously on trial at Ipswich and Torquay and was offered a two year scholarship at the latter but opted to finish school instead. He will be hoping to join the long list of great Ramblers goalkeepers and is certainly a player with a bright future ahead of him.

Speaking on the move, Eoghan had this to say, “I’m delighted with the move to Cobh Ramblers and to sign with not just the 19s but also the senior team. I think it will be a big step up for me from playing Cork Youth football last year but I’m really happy about it and I can’t wait to get started. All of the staff and the players have been really helpful so far and I would like to thank them for that.”
