Cobh Ramblers partner with Belvelly Castle

Cobh Ramblers FC are delighted to officially announce our new club partners for the 2021 season as Belvelly Castle of Cobh.

Today we are delighted to welcome Anne and Garry Wilson, and their family, on-board and we would like to place on record our sincere thanks to them for their continued support and contributions to the Cobh community and wider region in recent years.

As part of the agreement Belvelly Castle will be located on the club’s home and away jersey for the forthcoming season. In addition, club charity partners Breaking the Silence will be located on the front of our Third Kit for the 2021 season.

Breaking the Silence, the club’s official charity partners are a leading Voluntary Group on driving Suicide awarenes, and they provide free training programmes across Cork City and County in the areas of Suicide Intervention and Prevention i.e. Suicide First Aid. The charity provides both SafeTALK and ASIST Training Programmes, both of which are the world standard in this area. As part of the agreement, the club can announce that a €5 donation from all our Third Kit jersey sales will go directly to the charity for the forthcoming year.

Both kits are available to purchase immediately via the Cobh Ramblers Shop

Speaking about the new partnership, Cobh Ramblers Chairman Bill O’ Leary said:

“We are delighted to have the support of Garry and Anne at Belvelly Castle. The castle and Ramblers are both synonymous with Cobh and will be even more so now because of this union. We both champion the town of Cobh and allow people to prosper individually and within a community. This commitment from Garry and Anne is a strong validation of what we are doing as a club and will propel us forward to an even greater extent.”

Garry Wilson on behalf of Belvelly Castle had the following:

“We are extremely proud to be able to partner with Cobh Ramblers. We are certain that our partnership will blossom and benefit both parties. Though the COVID-19 pandemic requires that we take additional precautions to stay vigilant, Belvelly Castle stands behind Cobh Ramblers in these troubling times. Hopefully in the near future we will meet the clubs growing fan-base and we can all support the team in St Colman’s Park together.”

We have many more exciting announcements to come over the next few weeks including the big reveal of our brand new Away Kit for the 2021 season.
