PREVIEW: Cobh Ramblers v Wexford Youths
- Updated: June 28, 2013
Cobh Ramblers are back in action after the mid-season break as they welcome Wexford Youths to St. Colman’s Park on Saturday night hoping for a repeat of the 5-0 victory in the first game of the season. (Kick-off 7:45) Ramblers winger Martin Deady was man of the match in that win and he’s desperate for his side to pick up another three points this time round: “We need a win, I don’t care how we win at this stage!
“We need to get a bit of a run together, we’re hoping to get some new lads in next week so, if we can get a bit of momentum going, we will be buzzing.”
After a bright start to the season, Ramblers have faltered of late and await their first win since mid-April when they beat Salthill Devon 5-3 in a thriller at St. Colman’s Park. Wexford Youths, on the other hand, go into the game on their best run of form this season with four wins in their last five games propelling the Youths to third in the league. Dave Hill has a virtually full strength squad to choose from as Ramblers have no new injury worries with Andrew Bhandarkar set to return from injury and Conor Meade back after a suspension. Aidan Keenan wil definitely miss out for the visitors as he serves a one-match ban having picked up four yellow cards.
