Cobh Ramblers FC are delighted to announce the loan signing of Cork City defender John Kavanagh until the end of the 2017 season. John is a product of Cork’s youth system and has been at the club since joining their u19 side in 2011 from Ringmahon Rangers.

He made his first league appearance in 2013 and went on to make eight appearances that year. The following season saw him appear 18 times, scoring once against Bray Wanderers. 16 more appearances followed in 2015 as well as three more at the end of 2016 following a spell on the sidelines through injury. Predominately a right back, John has also been capped for Ireland at u21 level.

It is hoped that the 23 year old will go into the Ramblers squad for today’s Munster Derby away to Waterford FC in the RSC.
