Ramblers to visit Waterford FC in EA Sports Cup 2nd Round

Following Tuesday’s 2-0 victory over Avondale United, Cobh Ramblers will travel to fellow First Division leaders Waterford FC in the second round of the EA Sports Cup. The tie is to be played in the RSC the week commencing Monday April 17th. It is Waterford FC’s first year in the competition but Cobh and Waterford have become very familiar with each-other in recent years. The last time they met in this tournament was in 2013. Davin O’Neill’s strike for Ramblers wasn’t enough as Waterford United progressed 2-1.

The other game in Pool 1 will see Cork City travel to Limerick before the tournament leaves its regional format and enter the national stages.
