Ethan McCarthy adds to u19 squad

Cobh Ramblers u19 manager Ethan McCarthy has made his first new additions to his squad ahead of the 2017 campaign. Patrick ‘Pop’ Crowley and Darren Murphy have arrived from Cork City and Ballincollig respectively.

Patrick was a member of Cork’s UEFA Youth League squad in 2016 and has also played for Blarney United where he featured for the senior team at the age of 16. Speaking on the move, ‘Pop’ had this to day, “I’m really looking forward to the new season with a new team and new players around me. It will definitely be tough but I’m just looking forward to being back on the pitch.”image

Midfielder Darren Murphy has also joined, having captained his local club Ballincollig to All-Ireland glory in the Youths Cup, alongside current senior Ram Matthew Whelan. Darren has also had spells at Cork City’s u19 setup and Springfield Ramblers where he won the Cork Cup at u16 level. He was also a key member of the Cork Youths setup. image
