Shane joined Limerick’s u19 setup in 2014 and was a key member of their squad over the past three seasons. He was also a part of their First Division winning squad of 2016. The Kerry native previously played for Tralee Dynamos. It was here he caught the eye of Limerick and he made the step up to their u19 side in 2014, having already excelled for Tralee’s senior team.
Shane had been training with us at the latter stage of the 2016 season and can play at either right back or right midfield.

Speaking about the move, manager Stephen Henderson had this to say, “Shane is an exciting young player with a huge amount of promise. He brings a lot of options and versatility into our squad. I watched him a lot when he trained with us and he improved as each session progressed. He has pace and aggression going forward, something that I like to see in a player. Shane is another great addition to the squad.”

Shane follows a long line of players from the Kingdom at Cobh Ramblers, including Robert Birdsall, David Hennessy, Shane Guthrie, Audie Dunlea and Brian Fitzgerald. The acquisition of Shane brings to eighteen the number of players signed to the senior squad for 2017.
