Three young stars re-sign for 2017

Behind our Ramblers Advent calendar today was defender James McSweeney, who has committed to the club for 2017. The 17 year old began the year at our u17’s but impressed enough for senior boss Stephen Henderson to add him to his squad. While yet to make a senior appearance,  James has been involved in numerous matchday squads and expect him to make a big impact in 2017. His highlight of the year just gone was grabbing the extra-time winner against Bray to clinch the U17 Shield.

Defender Cian Kingston has similarly agreed terms for 2017. The former Torquay and Ross County man joined the club for the 2016 campaign. The Crosshaven native made 22 league appearances, scoring once. A versatile and courageous player, Cian is also getting on the coaching ladder and is currently completing his UEFA C Licence. The 20 year old is a product of Crosshaven and Carrigaline’s underage systems.

The last of our ‘Three Wise Men’ re-signing today is midfielder Stephen Christopher. The former College Corinthians attacker shone at our u19 setup and quickly made the step up to senior level in 2015. He has become a key member of our squad over the last two years. Mentioning Stephen would be incomplete without showing his superb free-kick against Waterford in 2015, well worth a look! https://youtu.be/uEmfdItBTAU
