First Team Squad Update

Cobh Ramblers FC can confirm that a number of players have departed the club in the off-season and will not be re-signing for the 2023 campaign. We thank John Kavanagh, Sean Barron, Danny O’Connell, Gavin Ryan, Harlain Mbayo, Paul Hunt, Charlie Fleming and Beineón O’Brien Whitmarsh for their time at Cobh Ramblers and wish them the very best in the future.

John Kavanagh joined us in 2020 and the full back captained the club in recent seasons, making over 70 Ramblers appearances and co-captaining the Rams to the 2022 Munster Senior Cup.

Sean Barron joined the club from Avondale in the summer of 2020 and the goalkeeper made over 50 appearances in the past two and a half seasons.

Danny O’Connell joined the club in the 2021 summer transfer window from Avondale and the attacker featured over 40 times for the club, scoring eight goals.

Academy graduate Gavin Ryan leaves having first joined the Rams at U15 level in 2018. He was involved in the first team squad since 2020, making his senior debut last year.

Charlie Fleming and Paul Hunt were both long term servants of the club who re-joined the Rams in 2022 after spells away from St Colman’s Park.

Harlain Mbayo and Beineón O’Brien Whitmarsh joined us at the start of 2022, making 25 and 24 appearances respectively over the course of the season.
